Leading Democrat pick for Governor serves racism accusations à la carte in Wisconsin.
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN - Democrat and Democratic Socialist State Rep. Francesca Hong is both leading in her party's gubernatorial primary race and leading all Wisconsinites in having wild hot takes blow up on social media in the final weeks ahead of the vote.
Among the recent controversies was her failed attempt to explain away an atrocious anti-Thanksgiving post to X, one of many polarizing hot takes that have taken social media by storm.
Leaving aside that her "so be it" is practically an endorsement of reform by pandemic, it's just a single, if wacky, example of her many appeals to racism, white supremacy, "colonialism" and any other buzzword that might feel at home when rallying with the likes of Hasan Piker and Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Which Hong did, by the way, over the weekend.
Those words were also prominent in a 2021 interview Hong gave to website Hollywood Life back in 2021 when she declared that the restaurant business and the concept of tipping are as racist and white supremacist as the police, ICE, and Thanksgiving.
Writing about Hong's activist group for women and "non-binary chefs" in an article about the state rep.'s pandemic-inspired move to politics, the site wrote, "
It’s not just sexism. Racism is rampant in the restaurant world, as well, says Hong, something that she’s kept in mind as she works at Wisconsin’s capital.
“If we think about the structure of restaurants, especially the power between workers and restaurant owners. That structure is rooted in white supremacy and racism," Hong said in the interview. "If you look at where tipping came from, if you’re looking at who is making the food vs. who is receiving and gaining access to that experience."
Restaurants, tippers, turkeys, cops, ICE, and even "the senate" are all targets of the far-left candidate's endless volley of "white supremacy" accusations. A suitable if transparent application for membership in The Squad, a group affiliation to add to a dubious list, including the Democratic Socialists of America.
AND ON A PARTING NOTE: Why would taxpayers have to pony up to promote this extreme leftist DSA member to South Korean audiences we literally fought a war to keep from being subjected to communism? Because that happened.
It's a VOA DSA WTF, I'd say.
If we have to get rid of programs like Voice of America to prevent this kind of thing then, in the words of wannabe Squad member Francesca Hong, so be it.
